Fly fishing for trout in a stream or lake is a blast. My first time fly fishing I was fortunate enough to have an instructor teach me the fundamentals of fly fishing. I learned the reallity of tree and bush snagging on my own! For first timers I would suggest learning at a lake. It is a lot less demanding than stream fishing. It won't take long to catch a fish. Many of the lakes and streams are stocked by the Colorado Department of Wildlife.
