Colorado Camping, You'll Love It!

I love Colorado camping! The smell of the wooded outdoors, the awesome mountain scenery, and the majestic wildlife. It's hard to beat sipping on a cup of morning coffee in the cool clean air watching elk lazily wander by your camp.

Colorado camping has something for everyone. You can enjoy fishing, boating, hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, ohv riding, and even hot air ballooning!

Pitching the tentCampsites with any range of facilities can be found along streams and lakes. Bring your pole and boat to enjoy the fishing and water sports or rent equipment from a local outfitter. How easy is that!

Colorado has remote camping locations with no conveniences to developed sites with showers, flush toilets, and even laundry facilities! You can be miles away from civilization and cell phones or minutes from shopping, restaurants, and fun activities for the whole family. Haven's Tent

There are also a number of locations in and around Denver that are close to theaters, museums, major league sports, restaurants, and did I say shopping? Many mountain communities have wonderful festivals and celebrations and really cater to campers. Some towns run shuttles to campgrounds.

If you go Camping with Kids, you'll find good information here for a terrific outdoor experience with the family. By the way, that cute little guy is my grandson.

Do you like to really rough it away from everything? If so, you can hike or 4 wheel to some of the most inspiring scenery in the world. Be sure to pack everything you need because you won't find a convenience store around!

We have assembled a list of camping locations for you that include Colorado State Parks, National Forests, and Nationals Parks. These locations are by region with a contact phone number for the responsible agency. To see the list of camping locations select the tent button next to the region of Colorado that interests you.
